My last posting triggered a unexpected reaction in my bosom friend (as Anne Shirley would say). As we drove home from work yesterday we had a discussion on the validity of online quizzes and the results derived from them. I can honestly say that the only thing Elizabeth Bennett and I have in common is the fact that we both have brown hair.
Upon discussion of Elizabeth's fine points, we came to the conclusion that the younger Miss Bennett is a rebel in her own right. She is not afraid to speak her mind to any and all parties, whether they are interested or not.
Unlike Eliza, I am not a rebel in any sense of the word. My biggest rebellion as a tenneager was listening to Brian Adams or U2 with the volume just a little bit louder than usual--or--you could count the fact that I got my ears pierced without my parent's permission at the age of 30!
And while Mr. Darcy is a handsome man, he's just a big, dumb boy in every sense of the word. He's a jerk and quite frankly I'd prefer a Mr. Bingley who was inclined to love me for me, not "against [his] better judgement."
an eclectic smattering of the comings and goings of a vivacious, stunning, elegant, beautiful, witty, amazing, talented, brilliant, glamorous, distinguished, fabulous, pesky, cute, trendy, magnanimous and most recently--INDOMITABLE, 30-something-year-old woman as she explores the many splendored things offered by a very strange world.
